Question: What is the New Testament Church Government? I am confused. Every denomination seems to have a different way of governing the body and I really don’t see God’s hand in this diversity because it has not produced the correct way to disciple and nourish the body. What is your response, Apostle Eric?

Answer: Popular Christian authors and writers such as Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda say: “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible.”

Here is the thing. If the world has failed to govern themselves properly despite all that “higher education”, why would the church think they can escape the same snare.

The New Testament Church Governs Itself as the World

What I mean is, the church has followed the example of the world in choosing to government themselves by a system that excludes God. The New Testament church is being governed by:

• The spirit of this world
• The wisdom of this world

This is evidenced by the failure of the church to produce the likeness of Christ in the congregation. So then, after choosing to reject God’s method to carry out New Testament church government, why would they think they would not be in the same boat of failure?

Crash Course in New Testament Church Government

This is proof evidence that the church needs to be re-educated to the kingdom of God and New Testament church government even as the apostle Paul (steward) of the covenant of Christ said:

Hebrews 5:12, “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God.” Which again I say, “why didn’t the Holy Ghost teach them?” That fallacy (the Holy Ghost will teach me) must be addressed to help the saints remove that snare which Satan has yoked the church with these many years. The New Testament Church government begins with apostles first that apostles may govern the church.

The apostles of the House of Baal are seemingly in the constant mode of repair after putting their best foot forward for the approval of the world. And even when things seem to be in the up-swing for Baal the world still despises the Saviour it tries to represent.

Time of Apostasy

The time of the apostasy (falling away) is here as the apostle Paul writes in 2Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a FALLING away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” Notice that both events (falling away and emergence of the man of sin) are unfolding at the same time. This means that the Antichrist spirit will resist apostolic government as the world is being prepared for the antichrist man or the Beast.

The apostle John said this: “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that ANTICHRIST shall come, even now are there many Antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).

Peter and Jude said: “But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and DESPISE GOVERNMENT. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities” (2Peter 2:1). And again in Jude; Jude 1:8, “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of DIGNITIES.”

Apostles are the Pattern for the New Testament Government

The apostles of the first century foresaw by the Holy Ghost that the church was going to go through a time of darkness because the apostolic government would be replaced by cunning religious leadership that would introduce a Christianity that would have old testament themes and worldly appeal.

We can see this in the pursuits of political and social influence to make laws to convert the sinners to their brand of the gospel which is called Jesus.

But time is running out for the false church to recover herself because the Lord is hastening the day for the rapture and is calling out those that hear Him from Baal’s choir of ambitious ministries. The covenant of Jesus Christ requires your love for Him to keep these commandments and to bring forth fruit unto eternal life.
