The First Covenant is a Figure of Christ
by Second 8th Week Ministries

Hebrews 9:1-14
1. Then verily the First Covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
3. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4. Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid roundabout with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
5. And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
6. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle,
accomplishing the service of God.
7 . But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
8. The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9. Which was a FIGURE for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10. Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
11. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
_____________________________

This may look like a lot to cover, but it isn’t. God is simply showing us the temporary nature of the Mosaic Law. From verse 1 and verse 9, God let us know that the First Covenant tools were only a figure. The word “figure” means that the Mosaic Law was only standing as a temporary token for the time until Christ would come. Moses’ tools, laws, and commandments were only for that covenant. God had not intended them for you.

There are 2 words God uses to show this to you. The first word is “carnal”. In your notepad or in your Bible, put the word “carnal” over the word “worldly” sanctuary in verse 1 (you will see that confirmed in verse 10 “carnal ordinances”).

Temporary tokens of Moses

Why does God call the tokens of Moses “carnal”? Because the tools of Moses cannot purge the conscience of sin. So, underline the word “conscience” in verse 9. That is the second word that tells us about the temporary nature of the tools of Moses.

The tools of Moses cannot purge the conscience of sin.

These carnal tokens could not make him (the priest that did the service) perfect as pertaining to the conscience (verse 9).Where the Spirit says in verse 10, “which stood”, He means that “the powers of faith and justification were only in those tokens until I will come to provide you My justification.”

God teaches us about the righteousness of the Law by pointing out to us that the ordinances of divine service (tools of service) under the First Covenant stood only in meats and drinks and divers washings, which were baptisms, carnal ordinances, being earthly things. These laws and usage of these tools were designed for their activity and was imposed on them. Meaning, you have to do this or you will die in your sins.

The tools of Moses Cannot Purge the Conscience of Sin

Can you see that the righteousness of the law is not the righteousness of Jesus Christ? The righteousness of the Law is the standard God set for the faith of the people under the First Covenant; the yoke He imposed upon them. Notice in verse 10, it was imposed on them until the time of reformation when Christ would come and shed His own blood.

For those under the First Covenant, it was the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer that was purifying the flesh (verse 13). They had to accept that token as their purification. They were looking at this and asking, “How can the ashes of an heifer and the blood of a beast redeem my soul?” They had to believe it, and in their mind looked towards
Christ, their Messiah. When He comes He will save us from our sins. And we have to believe the same thing. Not the blood of an animal, but we have to believe the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, that Jesus’ blood sanctifies us.

We are not saved by the blood of the cow. We don’t say, “By the blood of the cow I am saved.” No, we say, “By the blood of Jesus I am saved.”

In the ancient times they had to believe , they had to accept the yoke. That yoke which they accepted was the testimony of their confession. This is my testimony and therefore I am a man of faith awaiting my time of redemption, that God will receive my soul because of the blood of this beast.

So Jesus, upon His death, when yielding up the ghost, when He went down to the lower parts of the earth, now completed that promise. He went down to the center of the earth and led captivity captive, saying, “You who have washed by the blood of the beast are now washed by My blood. You that have received forgiveness of sins by the cow and by the ox, by the goat, by the lamb, by the turtle doves and have waited patiently for me, I am now the fulfillment of that. Now come unto Me.” And so Jesus took Adam by the hand and received him and he took Abraham, and king David, and Noah, and Daniel, and the all righteous, He took that train right up to heaven.

How much more is the Lord going to receive us? We that believe on the blood of the Lamb will also be gathered to Him when He comes back and we see Him in the sky. He is going to say,
“Now come to me you that believed My testimony, the shedding of My blood.” And He will receive us to himself with great rejoicing.

What did we learn?

1.	The things (tokens/tools) of the First Covenant reflected God in physical things.
2. These physical TOOLS are things that represented God to the people and kept them in remembrance of Him.
3. These things also represented the faith of the people to God, that He would be in remembrance of them.
4. As long as the people honored God by restricting their faith to the terms of God’s covenant, using only those sanctified tools to worship God, they remained tethered to God, tied to Him, and they remained within the orbit of His care, presence, and promises.
5. The tokens dictated the responsibility of the faith of the people.
6. The tokens of Moses were temporary until Christ would come.
7. The tokens of Moses were “carnal” for they could not purge the conscience.

Tools/tokens were explained by God in the book of Genesis and again seen when God told Moses to sprinkle the blood of an animal upon the tools of the First Covenant to sanctify them for the people to use in worship.

We are going to see the connection between the blood and God’s sanctification. We are also going to see that even though God sanctified these tools for their faith, He was already identifying the temporary nature of these tools, showing us that He did not plan for our faith to labor with them today.

Hebrews 9:18-21
18. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and SPRINKLED both the book, and all the people,
20. Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21. Moreover he SPRINKLED with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

We studied this in the first course Covenant Faith, and will now study this further. The Bible says that the Ten Commandments, tithing laws, Jewish feast days and observances, and all vessels of the ministry (candlesticks, ark of the covenant, Shofar) were sprinkled with the blood of an animal. By this God laid upon the people their responsibility of faith. The tools of the covenant dictated their faith because they represented the responsibility of their faith.

These physical TOOLS are things that represented God to the people and kept them in remembrance of Him. These things also represented the faith of the people to God, that He would be in remembrance of them. As long as the people honored God by restricting their faith to the terms of God’s covenant, using only those sanctified tools to worship God, they remained tethered (joined) to God.

This is the blood of the testament which God has enjoined to you (verse 29). God is teaching us that we are connected to Him by the sprinkling of the blood. And this is what we see that Moses did. Moses first preached to the people, giving them knowledge, and then he took the blood and he splattered blood on them and splattered blood on the covenant tools. If you keep the covenant your soul is sealed with this salvation.

It is important for us to understand this now, because later, when we talk about the new tools of the New Covenant we need to understand that the same thing applies, that we are connected to God by the sprinkling of blood, that the tools of the covenant dictate our faith, and that it is by the tools that God lays upon us the responsibility of our faith. The blood defines your righteousness and identifies the tools your faith must be active with.

You will also soon understand another striking difference between the Old Covenant tools and the New Covenant Tools:

Old Covenant Tools = They are all PHYSICAL tools
New Covenant Tools = They are all INVISIBLE tools

The tools of the covenant dictate your faith.

Until the day in which He was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen (Acts 1:2). What did Jesus choose His apostles to do? Jesus chose apostles to give knowledge to the church. This knowledge is the 12 Elements of the Gospel that describes the function of our faith.

And when the hour was come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him (Luke 22:14). Jesus had to instruct His apostles in doctrine before His apostles could instruct the church. Here we see the divine order of spiritual government and the flow of the grace of God, which Paul later brought to our attention through the Spirit (Eph.3:2).

Jesus’ apostles teach the church about the new dispensation of grace. Even as Paul said, “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward,” (Eph.3:2). What does this mean? This means that Jesus is the new law of the New Covenant. Apostles today teach the same dispensation of grace by teaching the Law of Grace and Truth which came through Jesus Christ.

And when it was day, He called unto Him his disciples: and of them He chose twelve, whom also He named apostles (Luke 6:13). Here we see that Jesus had intended that the church identify with the leadership He appointed, hence He called them apostles. You will notice that the apostles knew the importance of their calling and brought attention to the kingdom of God by bringing attention to their calling. “Paul an apostle.”

The Secret Place is In God

by Maria vonAnderseck

The Secret Place is IN God. God provided all things in Himself for us to be made whole again. When we understand that, then we don’t seek any other secret place for our happiness and well being.

Psalm 91:1, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Once we are convinced that everything God wants us to know and wants us to have is found in Him, we will not seek our peace and joy anywhere else. As Jesus stated, His peace and joy is not in the world, it is in Him.

The Secret Place of God’s joy

Jesus said, “These things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves,” John 17:13. Jesus is saying that He wants His joy to be IN us. It is important for us, who are believers in Christ, to understand that God’s joy is not an emotion — it is His mind that He shares with us. As we stand before Him — He will continue to give us reassurances of knowledge and this knowledge – as we reflect on it gives us confidence.
•	What God DELIGHTS in —- we DELIGHT in
•	What brings JOY to God — brings JOY to our hearts

There is a connection God wants us to understand between His knowledge and our strength and JOY in Him. Each revelation is a calling forth to fellowship with Him. He is sharing His thoughts with us because He wants to be our JOY.

It is a fearful thing to stand before the living God!
You’re talking about standing before the Creator of all things!
So we stand before Him to take on His mind – His testimony – His joy.

This is why God provided richly for our faith in Jesus Christ by giving us His knowledge and His spiritual tools. God gave us everything we need to set what is in Him, in us.

I want to take us to Ezra chapter 6:22. This is where the Spirit opens this up to us further. The scripture states, “And (they) kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the Lord made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.”

The Lord also makes us JOYFUL IN HIM and STRENGTHENS our hands. Let’s see how that happens. . .

Going back to verse 2 of Ezra 6: “And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

3 In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;

4 With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king’s house:

5 And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.

The treasure of God’s house then is like God’s knowledge to us now. As the treasures of the Lord’s house beautified the temple, the knowledge of Jesus Christ beautifies the soul. What did we learn? We learned that knowledge is necessary to come into that Secret Place of the Lord. For the joy that is in God to be in us, we need to have His mind.

You Become What You Pursue

If you pursue the mind of God then He fills your mind with His thoughts. This is what you accept as His joy. That is why you delight yourself in the thoughts of His heart.

If you pursue the mind of the world then the pollution of the world fills your mind and you take on that understanding.

You may remember how God teaches us that from the example of Gehazi the servant of Elisha, when he ran after Naaman to take from him the riches that Elisha had refused, and how that when Gehazi ran after Naaman for his riches, that he also took upon himself Naaman’s leprosy. There was a pursuing going on there (2 Kings 5:20-27).

25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi And he said, Thy servant went no whither.

26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive yards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

What was Gehazi after? He wanted to enrich himself of Naaman. We can then see what God is saying to us today, that we should not pursue the world. Our peace is not IN the world, our joy is not IN the world, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is not IN the world—it is IN God.

The Substance of Faith

Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

We, who are in covenant with God, often speak of the substance of charity that God forms in the soul through our cycles of growth; we speak about joy being the substance of faith; we speak of the need for the substance of Christ to be born in the heart. We can see look at Naaman’s leprosy to look at what “substance” means.

The word “substance” first of all means: that of which a thing consists; physical matter or material: form and substance (Dictionary.com); the essential nature, the tangible matter of which a thing consists (Free Online Dictionary). Every substance has a characteristic set of properties.

Substance also is something that materialized that identifies a condition that exists. Such as, the sticky substance on the leaves of a fruit tree is most likely the work of common fruit tree pest. Or the white substance left behind from boiled tap water.

The substance of leprosy was seen in Naaman’s condition. Naaman’s leprosy disfigured his flesh, decreased his mobility, threatened his life, and greatly restricted him. This is why leprosy is a type of sin. Satan’s knowledge brings a plague to the soul. The substance of Satan’s kingdom is likened to leprosy. When you use his knowledge it immobilizes disfigures the soul and robs the heart of faith.

On the other hand, when we leave the presence of the Lord we carry with us the substance of His kingdom. God, having shared His mind with us, we retain His joy and peace and confidence. Our condition reflects Him. God is the substance of our faith because our faith consists of Him. Now we know why The Secret Place is IN God.

In the Old Testament all the articles of the divine service were sprinkled with the blood of an animal. Without the shedding of blood there was no life. God was saying that He was giving life to what the blood touched. This is why the operation of God was on the divine service of the priests (Heb.9:1, 18-22).
Now in the New Testament, Jesus shed His blood upon the cross. The operation of God is now through the shed blood of Christ.
You Are What You Eat

by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck

To download teaching right click on this link

We are what we eat. This is why the substance of God cannot be birthed within the heart by false knowledge. Therefore, no matter how much knowledge you have of the word, the soul remains in a state of unrest, vexation, and vanity if you continue to reach for and draw from the tree of false knowledge.

Romans 6:1, “what shall we say then, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” No. We don’t, but the False Religious System does. Satan’s lie that holiness can come from the flesh drives man to want to market sin, or put sin within the gospel. Satan wants men to preach the conflict rather than the cure. This is what it means to continue in sin.

On the other hand, God wants us to preach the cure for sin, which has to do with the covenant priesthood. So then, Satan would have man preach the conflict, which is the state of the conscience while God preaches to us the cure for sin in Jesus Christ.

Should We Sin That Grace Will Abound?

The reason for man to preach the conflict is that they are trying to obtain more grace by sinning. That does not make a lot of sense, and it isn’t how God works. To put the pieces back where they belong we need to start by first putting the word “sin” into context. Sin has to do with Satan’s persuasion. All of mankind is under that shadow. Should we continue under that shadow after we are converted, that God would continue to issue grace for salvation? Of course not. Grace does not abound in that kingdom. It only abounds in the house of God.

To this agrees the Spirit. Reading from Romans 6 verse 2, “God forbid. How should we, that are dead to sin live any longer therein?” When you are talking about “sin” you are talking about that kingdom, and that tether of Satan’s kingdom. How shall we who are dead continue to live in that kingdom?

Now, what are we dead to? We know that we are dead to the aspiration. We are crucified to Christ; we have crucified the aspiration, which is the projections of the signature. So instead of building foundations within our signature with false knowledge we are building the foundation of Christ in the heart with His knowledge. We are building a completely different foundation. One has to die while the other has to come to life.

So he says, “God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?” (verse 2) So over the word “sin” you can write “Satan’s kingdom”. By the word “sin” Satan is being identified as that kingdom that stands indifferent and in direct opposition to the house of God.

Satan Wants To Compete With The House of God

Satan wants to compete with the house of God by false knowledge. False knowledge does not produce substance so the soul cannot enter into rest. Truth brings the substance of God within the heart. Therefore by faith you enter into His rest.

In the kingdom of darkness, substance cannot be birthed within the heart so therefore no matter how much knowledge you have of the word, the soul remains in a state of unrest–vexation—vanity if you continue to reach for and draw from the tree of false knowledge.

The Spirit brings out, “How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” How shall we who are dead to sin, having buried the aspirations, which is the old man, live any longer in that house, under that perception, that shadow, being fruitless.

So we can see that the God-Code working with faith will produce the substance of Christ in the heart. Whereas the God-Code working with the moral code will not bring that living substance. It will keep the soul in a state of frustration and oppression.

Oppression is Birthed From False Knowledge

Oppression is birthed from false knowledge. Where false knowledge is, oppression exists. What is oppression? Oppression has to do with the soul being without direction. When the soul is without direction it is under a form of oppression. No substance is being born and it wanders in the broad way. That is a form of oppression. So false knowledge births this.

False knowledge also keeps the soul in that state of derision: the wandering, the frustration, the anxiety. Whereas in the kingdom of God, being tethered to Christ, substance is born in the heart, and the peace of God rules. The soul enters into rest, and that is because we have substance. The foundation of God is real.

We Are Dead To Satan

So over the word “sin” you can put the word “Satan”. We are dead to Satan. We are dead to these things that bring demonic oppression. When we say demonic oppression we are not talking about possession of the soul. Rather, how the mind wanders looking for clarity and purpose of life.

The movie The Island is an excellent example of this. It’s about human cloning for the purpose of extending one’s life. The people who have themselves cloned are told that their clones are in a vegetative state and are not self aware. You can imagine that when a person’s heart, or lung, or kidney fails they could harvest the needed parts from their clone. What the clients did not know was that the “product” had become self aware and had begun to ask purpose of life questions. And grace is like that. It causes us to be aware of God—to awaken to Him.

If we look for a moment at verse 8 we will learn a few more things: “Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.”

If you be dead with Christ, which means putting to death the voice of the aspiration and signature. If we be dead with Christ we believe we shall also live with Him by this new testimony. By this new testimony we are living with Him.

This is why God communicates in dreams and visions, and words of knowledge. For what purpose? For the edification of the Body. Building up the Body has to do with that choice of will. So Speaking by the Spirit you are taking on the Spirit’s perspective. Now you are risen with Christ. By this the old man is dying, but the new man is renewed day by day. That is the new perspective. It is also providing the tools for circumcision. it is also providing you a token of cleansing. This is your baptism. God accepts your faith as you take spiritual showers every day.

Now, verse 11, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We Are Alive To Christ

Now if you be dead with Christ, we believe we will also live with Him. Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death has no more dominion over Him. As long as we are in this dimension we can see that the presence of death is here. This is what we are overcoming and this is why the rewards are so enormous. You are making choices against all contradiction and contrariness.

You are making choices of will to serve Him in the midst of great contradiction. You are making choice of will against prejudices. Prejudices of tradition, prejudice of friends, prejudice of employers. You are standing against an enormous weight for the exceeding weight of glory that God has promised us.

Likewise recon. This is your confession now. This is what you should see in the mirror now. Not death, life, not despair, but hope. That death is only the door to life and we are experiencing that every day as we die to the voice of the aspiration we are lving unto God each day.

Satan is the author of sin as Jesus is the author of grace. When we are alive to grace we know that we are alive to the author of grace, we are alive to Him. Satan presence is sin, death, iniquity, despair confusion, derision, confounding. We are dead to sin. It’s seed, it’s value, its fruit, its kingdom, and its prince.

Satan knows that the soul lives by the witness it receives (in servitude of that power) and seeks to confirm the record of the flesh through sympathy and flattery in order to verify “self.” You see, Satan knows that this breeds false confidence, frustrates grace, and misdirects faith away from Jesus Christ.
Ecclesiastes 10:2 reads, “A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.” This means that the angel of righteousness stands on the right hand inspiring faith by the knowledge of Christ, while the angel of iniquity stands on the left inspiring man’s aspirations to work with other knowledge that hypnotizes and flatters the soul. By this God demonstrates that two spirits wait upon man to inspire hope. Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

In referring to Himself as the true vine of God, Jesus challenged Satan and his hold on your heart and mind. God uses “wine” as a symbolism of knowledge; at His word Jesus changed 6 water pots into wine (Jn.2:3-10) thus signifying that His word (knowledge) is of power to change the heart of man and make it rejoice.
The Scriptures and The God Head: “Not of Yourselves”

by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck

The scriptures are written by the finger of God to confirm the God head by His grace. That all things spoken of by the Spirit of Christ would be fulfilled in their time. Every prophecy was laid as a stone upon the path of faith that we might see Christ.

Jesus Christ is the personification of the God head. He represented the God head while on earth. And we do the same thing. We represent the God head now. If you receive grace from the throne of God, that grace tethers you to the God head. When grace is kept in the pureness of God’s design for it, now you are an ambassador of the God head. All the prophets were ambassadors of the God head.

1 Pet.1: 10-12

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

The Scriptures Bear Witness to the Prophetic Path

The scriptures bear witness that the Prophetic Path (P.P.) was designed by the Spirit of God to encourage our faith in believing God’s consistency in fulfillment of His promises to us. God speaks through His thunder to the Body of Christ (church) as Peter instructs us that it is “not unto themselves” but unto us (Body) which we minister this knowledge for faith.

The reason why God gave the Prophetic Path to the church was to give the church a sword to combat Satan’s many truths about Jesus that are not of the God head. Satan’s truths are the multiple faces of the moral code a person sees reflected in the pages of the Bible.

The moral-code only sees itself in the scriptures and mirrors the struggle into many personal “truths”. This is the defiled conscience—the face of the moral code, which is the face of death, which is the face of Satan.

Those Of Faith See Only One Truth

Those of faith see only ONE truth-Jesus Christ, while the defiled conscience sees many truths. When revelation is interpreted by the carnal mind then it will attach the revelation to themselves and take the church in another direction, causing many to turn from the P.P. Those of faith see Christ in the revelation God gives to the church and confirms this direction of the God head.

All grace proceeds from the God head, which joins us to Himself in the throne making us partakers of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. The scriptures declare this to be true: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need,” Hebrews 4:16.

When the record is set within ourselves then it is removed from the God head, becoming a lie, and darkness enters in the heart. Many “truths” are born out of darkness which carries the aspirations and confirmations of man. But when the record is set within faith for our obedience unto holiness then it is free of guile and envy because Christ is seen in word and deed.

The unity of the Church is born by the Spirit in the purged conscience becoming ONE truth where there is no darkness nor shadow of turning.

Those Who Take the Record and Place it in Themselves

When a person takes the record and places it in himself, he is using his soul as a template with the scriptures. He is seeking a confirmation in scripture for any piety that would reflect Christ. This he does for a boast of possessing truth, which we then see would be glorying in man.

But the Record of Jesus Christ is seen by the Witness from above, opening the eyes of our understanding to this order of truth removing any offense and rejoicing in God.

“Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.”

Now we can see clearly the tether of angels, confirming the P.P. for us which is made without hands as a precious Stone for us paving the true path, and not that of the flesh.

Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest till that a STONE was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the STONE that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

We as precious stones make up this mountain of the Lord as we overcome earthly things and the pride of man. This ONE path is made of many stones (over comers) which labour with a pure conscience.

The invisible God designed salvation so that He could come in contact with the soul of man and affect it with His grace and that we could come in contact with God through faith. This is why God came down to earth in the form of flesh, to die for the sins of the world (to provide the release from the penalty of sin) and rise again from the dead (provide the release from the power of sin).
When Romans 5:5 says that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us, we understand that the Holy Spirit is the point of contact that brings all things of God into reality for us. We are allowed to touch God through the Spirit. Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

“Touching God” is just another way of saying that we partake of Him. Ephesians 3:6, “That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel.” When family members are with us we “partake” of their life every day by interacting with them. This daily interaction allows us an experience with them that the soul recognizes as “real” because there is substance to it. Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

A false religion makes a memorial of Jesus. There is no reality for the soul, no experience, no interaction. We cannot have faith in God through our imagination. God designed His salvation to be living, not a dead religion. The function that He designed into the gospel brings the living reality of Jesus to all who believe in Him.
Expounding on Isaiah 46:1-9

1. Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2. They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3. Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4. And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 .To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 .They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8. Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.

How To Mobilize Your Idol

Bel and Nebo are trying to be equal to God because the Jews always boasted, “Our God is everywhere and your God does nothing.” And so the sinner thought, “How can we rectify this discrepancy? The Hebrews think that their God is everywhere. We’ll make our god everywhere. We’ll set him on a cart, we’ll set him on a horse, or a mule, and we’ll take him from place to place.”

You see that? They mobilized their idols, but their idols were still images of death, and that’s because Satan’s promises are death, his promises are promises of death. So everywhere the images of death would go, it would bring inequity. Inequity has to do with false knowledge. Wherever false knowledge would go, famine, war, and pestilence would follow. And we see that today. Everywhere there is false knowledge. But is it accepted as the truth, and the promises of Bel are embraced as if they are the promises of God.

Satan’s Lie is the Record of the Sinner

Look at verse 6 again, “They lavish gold out of the bag and weigh silver in the balance and they hire a gold smith and make a god.” They lavish gold on lies. It is incredible! The False Religious System is very powerful financially, and that’s because of a lie. The lie stands in Adam’s aspiration. The lie is the record of sinners, and the lie is Satan.

When we say the word “lie” we are not talking about speaking a fib. We are talking about a record. Satan is the record of the sinner. He is the lie. No lie shall enter into the kingdom of God because the lie carries that of death. Death is the crown of Satan, whereas Christ is the crown of truth. Christ is crowned in the soul of the righteous, whereas death is the crown of the sinner, they carry the name shame around, and the word shame is defined as anything less than light.

Anything less than light is shame. Shame is the crown of the sinner. They are less than light and being less than light they walk in the ways of Cain, or as Bel or as Nebo. They are as the beast. The beast carries the lie and the Beast in the book of Revelation chapter 13 is the lie of this world, the carnal Christ, whereas Jesus represented His Father. That’s why Jesus said, “I did not come into this world of my own will.” In other words, “My entrance into this world is not of the aspiration of man.” But the Beast is going to enter into this world by aspiration, and he is going to be the testimony of man, the ignorance of man, the crown of death, Satan’s lie–shame. He is going to carry every discrepancy of contradiction and contrariness. But God has assigned it in this dimension for the testing of the heart, for this time.

False Knowledge Cannot Bring the Results

Let’s look at verse 7 again, “They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.”

False knowledge cannot bring the results of the divine. When Satan makes promises he cannot bring the results, because it is God that assigns results. Satan’s promises result in death, so they are promises of death. A lie is that which is of dead matter. A dead person is a non threatening individual. A dead person is non threatening. They are put into the ground, their threat ceases, and so is false knowledge. And here he says, “He cannot answer you or save you out of his trouble.”

A corpse is a non threatening object. And so is Satan’s lies. When Satan made a promise to Adam, Satan had no intentions to see it through because he can’t. He is a liar. Satan cannot bring the end results, that’s why Satan is going to be cast into the lake of fire at the end. First he is going to be thrown into the abyss of darkness for a thousand years. Then upon God’s approval he will be released at the end of the thousand years. Then on the day of judgment, everyone will behold the face of death, everyone will see Satan as he is, his rebellion–because everyone that will be judged that day will be a reflection of Satan himself. So they will see the mirror cast into the lake of fire and then they will follow him; the sinners cast into the lake of fire.

So he answers him not, meaning that he cannot bring results to your petitions. You can cry to him—the idol, you can bring him from one portion of property or land, to another portion of land. At first, everywhere the idol went it was greatly celebrated. Everywhere the idol went there were parades and great honor and music. It was like a carnival atmosphere. Everyone loves Nebo because Nebo was a very giving idol. It would just sit there and people could associate with it, it was a time of partying around Nebo and Bel. So wherever the idol would go a parade would follow it. Like when a circus would come to town, there would be loud music, like we saw in the movie The Greatest Show on Earth. The circus would go from town to town by train. It would proceed in town, the elephants would be paraded through and all the activity would stir the people. They would put up the big top, the circus tent, and there would be a lot of music and a lot of people would gravitate to that.

Well, that’s the way it was with Nebo, it was the greatest show on earth. All it was a big show, it was a lot of entertainment. And we see the same thing in the False Religious System today. A lot of the wealthy would contribute to this form of entertainment because they would want to associate with the celebrities, with the musicians, the magicians, whatever else was included in the worship of Bel. So this was a greatly honored spectacle. Everyone loved it. But when it comes to covenant, to the invisible God, people are very selfish. “Well, I don’t have any money.” But when it comes to Nebo, for example, everyone would lavish upon the idol because they would receive a lot of dividends for that. The markets would be flooding with tourists because people would be following Nebo around, they would be following Bel around. They would have all their booths set up, all the markets and the stores would be open and all the tourists and all the people would be going from town to town and the people would love this. They loved the circus. They eagerly wait for Nebo to arrive.

The False Religious System Wants to be Like the World

They began to look at Bel as something that is very lucrative. So anything that is lucrative, the world loves it. And it is the same thing in the False Religious System today. The False Religious System, the church, wants to be like the world, so they are utilizing the tokens of the world in order to gain the respect of the world.

Through the Second 8th Week God is check-mating Bel and Nebo. Every time they want to move Bel or honor Nebo, we are check-mating them, saying, “No! This is a lie and a transgression against God.” Lately we are check-mating the false accountability system. They put accountability in man. What they do is put checks and balances upon the counsel of man not realizing that the real scale is truth. Truth is the scale of accountability and government, but they want to do it through the counsel of each other, which is confirming each other. And this is what the apostle Paul spoke against. He said, “They comparing themselves among themselves are fools.” So what was Paul saying? He is saying, “Your check and balance system is a fraud and it come short of what God is doing in the work of regeneration.” So the apostles and prophets of the Second 8th week are check-mating them. And every time they say that the game is over they want to start a new game.

Of course, when the great tribulation opens they are going to ask themselves, “Why didn’t Nebo deliver us? And where is the power of Bel?” There is nothing there. So there is no answer: “He answers him not nor saves them out of his trouble. Oh you transgressors.” And this is what we are addressing today, “Oh, you transgressors.”

It is better to be in remembrance of Jesus Christ and have Him stand as your Advocate in the courts of the Lord than to be in remembrance of sin and have Moses stand as your accuser.
A person cannot lay claim to Jesus’ new order for faith and continue to work with the moral code.
Levitical Priesthood Not Able To Unveil Christ

December 23, 2010

The Levitical priesthood, not able to unveil the mystery of Christ, covered it. We see the same thing happening in the church today. Because ministers cannot reveal Christ and His teaching according to the terms of the New (Second) Covenant, they do not understand how he is now the record and pattern of their faith. As a result, Christ remains hidden as they continue to place their confidence in Moses and the Ten Commandments and tithing laws for their justification.
The Children of the Resurrection

by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck

We are living in one of the most exciting times of the history of the human race. This is the time of restitution that the Bible talks about in the book of Acts: “Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:21).

God is talking about 3 things in this verse: (1) Jesus’ ascension into heaven, (2) His return, and (3) the designated time of restitution . Restitution marks the time when Jesus will return for those who believe in Him. We will meet Him in the air, and He will take us back to heaven with Him.

Christians, living today, are called “children of the resurrection” because they are in expectation of this promise.

So let’s look at the word “restitution” to learn more about this designated time that God established as a sign of the return of Christ. The word restitution means: The act of restoring to the rightful owner something that has been taken away, lost, or surrendered [West’s Encyclopedia of American Law].

Satan Came to Plunder God’s Creation

Satan came to plunder God’s creation and take it for himself. Satan came into this dimension as a vagrant homesteader, to deceive Adam, to take ownership of his soul, and then to take ownership of the earth. The minute Adam heeded Satan’s counsel in the Garden of Eden, Satan won.

This is the time God has selected to reclaim ownership of the earth, and to cleanse the heavens and earth of Satan’s presence. God is doing this in 3 stages: (1) God set the terms (plan) for the cleansing of the soul in Himself, and established a time frame (season) to harvest His sons and daughters from the earth. God came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. He provided Himself as a record of faith to separate a people unto Himself. He would sanctify, justify, and cleanse all who believe, and thus reclaim them as His own.

Knowing this helps us to understand what salvation is all about. It is about cleansing the soul of Satan’s knowledge, influence, and fruit. This daily work of the Spirit is evidenced as the knowledge of Christ replaces the knowledge of this world, the wisdom of God replaces the wisdom of this world, and the fruit of Christ replaces the fruits of iniquity. This plan of God was thwarted by Satan for nearly 2 thousand years. The reason why Jesus said that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His plan is that Satan will try very hard to do as he did with Adam in the garden. Satan would provide man with many options to navigate around God’s plan to save by covenant faith.

The Reclamation Has Begun

Jesus promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church, and so Jesus inaugurated apostles today to reclaim the church. The reclamation has begun.

(2) God also established a time frame to cleanse the heavens of Satan’s presence. Let’s read from Revelation 12:7-12
7. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

In these verses we read how God cleanses the heavens. Reclamation takes place in heaven. Satan is cast out of heaven and thrown into the earth. His wings are clipped, he loses his power of ascension and takes human form. God has now cleansed the heavens of Satan’s presence, but woe to the earth for Satan is determined to continue to steal, to kill, and to destroy God’s creation, especially man. This marks the middle of the 7 year Tribulation.

(3) The 7 year tribulation marks the beginning of God’s reclamation of the earth. The inhabitants of the earth, having heard and rejected God’s Word, having refused His plan to reclaim them as His own, the people still bear the mark of Satan, and the time has come for the restitution of all things. God must begin to cleanse the earth of those who bear Satan’s mark.

Satan’s mark is seen in the idols of the heart, the philosophy of the mind, the prejudices gained by false knowledge, and the False Religious System. God is ready to end this phase of His plan, and take to Himself those who bear the mark of Christ. He cannot allow anyone to enter into His kingdom that bears the mark of Satan. Those who refused their Creator and insisted on retaining their alliance with Satan must share in Satan’s punishment. Those who refused the blood of the Lamb, must now shed their own blood. 2 billion people die of God’s judgments in the first year of the Tribulation.

When the Tribulation begins the reclamation of the earth has begun. The time of restitution of all things has begun.

God Cleanses the Heavens and the Earth

(3) God cleanses the heavens and earth completely of Satan’s knowledge and influence after the thousand year reign of Christ upon the earth. Revelation 20: 114-15 states that hell and death are cast into the lake of fire with the devil and his angels. All those whose names are not found written in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 21:1, God creates a new heavens and earth wherein dwells righteousness. The restitution is completed.

What part are you going to play as God sets the stage for the final restitution of all things. Jesus is getting ready right now to come to take His people off the earth before God judges it. Are you one of those He will catch away? Are you counted among His children, the children of the resurrection? The choice is yours. The reclamation has begun and you are part of it because you are living in this time. So, you will either choose to share Satan’s judgment because you refused the Word of God, or you will choose to share in Jesus’ glory.

God dissolved the First Covenant because He was establishing new knowledge in Jesus Christ for our righteousness. That we no longer live by the knowledge of sin, but by the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His righteousness. The focus of Moses was to restrict sin in the flesh. The focus of the Law of Grace and Truth is Jesus Christ who sets His own law within the heart to form His virtues within. The virtues of Christ do not speak of the flesh, but speak of Him and we overcome the kingdom of darkness through His virtues being formed within the heart.
God now uses the Law of Grace and Truth to set the boundaries for our faith in the New Covenant. These boundaries bring new restrictions to faith. The restrictions of grace and truth removes the power of sin upon the flesh by moving the pattern of faith from the flesh to the Spirit. God dissolved the First Covenant because He wants to form the new man in Christ and needs the new law of Jesus Christ to do this. Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

While the Law of Moses spoke to the flesh to restrict it’s expression, that law did not reach into the inner man to bring healing and equity. This is what the Law of Moses could not do and therefore is weak and unprofitable for your faith. Death is again seen in the First Covenant because the priests, being subject to time, death restricted their labor. The Law of Moses was yoked to death, thus God showed us that the Law of Moses is subject to death. Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

Sin, being the force of that system of darkness, made its presence known, but the state of the conscience was still defiled. We constantly sought equity for our conscience by the law because the conscience bore testimony about the condition of the soul.
Valley Experiences

by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck

1 Peter 2:1-3
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

In these scriptures God is addressing your stages of growth. For many Christians, spiritual growth is a mystery. How does it happen? What should I be doing? Most Christians don’t ever mature. They stay in the valley wondering what it’s like on the mountain top. Does that describe your experience? Let’s learn what apostle Peter has to say about spiritual growth.

The reason why God addresses different stages of growth is to help you understand where you are at concerning the state of the conscience. Mostly little children have a weak conscience because they are continually struggling with sin. These are the babes.

This is the same thing apostle Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 saying, “You are yet carnal whereas there is envying, and debate, and strife among you.” Paul talks about that and also the apostle John speaks about that, concerning the little children. So you have little children, young men, and fathers.

The First Stages of Your Growth

The apostle Peter, writing this epistle, is addressing the first stages of your growth. Those who are just coming into covenant with God are struggling with their conscience because you are trying to find a place of equity between these two kingdoms: That which you are presently learning about (what Peter speaks of concerning the sincere milk of the word) and the kingdom of darkness. You are being reeducated, and through this form of reeducation there is a struggle in the conscience concerning where you stand. And so the little children, at this stage are always repenting because they are trying to gauge their love of God by the struggle of sin.

You cannot gauge your love of God by the struggle of sin. You are to gauge your love of God by faith. The just shall live by faith. Those words: “the just shall live by faith” becomes a great challenge to those who are coming into covenant, because you are just beginning to understand this definition, what it means to live by faith. So when you are coming into covenant with God “the just shall live by faith” becomes something elusive. It becomes misty, something that is not yet emerging out of the fog of your understanding. So we begin to struggle in the state of the conscience: Am I a Christian? Am I save? Or am I not saved? Why do I feel this way?

You Need to be Reeducated

The Apostle Peter was addressing these first stages of your growth. You have to be reeducated, you have to learn again just like the children of Israel had to be reeducated after they came out of Egypt. They had to learn a whole new perspective of life. Your first perspective of life was anchored to the tradition of the flesh. Being anchored to the condition of the flesh your whole view of life centered on “Me” — “self”, on your own pleasure, your comfort zones, and gaining your own experience. And you began to assess everything by that selfishness, which is the kingdom of darkness.

The kingdom of darkness stood in agreement with you regarding that perspective. That was a prejudice. So here the apostle Peter brings out “laying aside”. You are laying aside a previous education and perspective which your parents taught you, your friends taught you, your educators taught you, and what you gained by self experience or lack of it.

“If so be you have tasted,” Peter says. It’s like gaining a new scent. Animals pick up scents and they follow that scent by their instinct. We are also gaining new sensory, but it is called a spiritual sensory. It is something we don’t gauge by smell, eyes, your feelings, or passions, it is something we gain by a whole different kingdom called grace. You are developing a new sensory perception of faith. Now you are tasting something through this sensory perception and you are gaining this experience at an altar, and by this altar you are gaining a new perspective and by fellowship and relationship of this new kingdom.

You need to progress beyond the state of hypocrisy. In the state of little children you are in a state of hypocrisy. you know what is expected of you, but you find very little ways and means of achieving this next level. it’s like you reach a certain point and you can’t go any further.

Everyone that is illuminated by the Lord comes to this first stage of illumination. We have people in ministry today (not those in covenant with God), people that have been so-called in the ministry for 50 years that never went beyond this point, they never went beyond illumination. Their conscience was constantly struggling with sin, and so the whole gospel of Jesus Christ was this battle.

Ministers would read these epistles and say, “How is it that the apostles can write with such accuracy and such experience and yet we are always struggling at the first stages of it?” That’s because they were not up here. They did not know where the altar is at. If you want to get from this point to that point you have to know where the altar is at. The altar is the vehicle. It is a vehicle, your transportation that takes you from this point to this point. You stay at the altar, and Christ will bring you from your hypocrisy to the reality. The altar is your lifestyle now. Your whole perspective changes; your perspective changes as you get higher and higher up in the mountain.

When You are in the Valley

When you are in the valley — how many people have heard of the “valley experience”? Most Christians are still in the valley, they are still down there, and they are trying to gain a new perspective in the valley. What does it mean to be on top of the hill? What they are talking about is that first state of illumination. And they think that first state of illuminating is their first love, and it is not their first love. Their first love is that of fellowship and contact, not illumination. Your illumination is the vehicle to bring you to the next level. Sadly, some people are baby Christians for 50 years—they never matured. And never maturing, your name is not in the Lamb’s Book of Life! You have to progress from this point to this point. You can’t just stay here.

The vehicle you are in is running on idle. You are never going to get to your destination, you are just going to waste a lot of gas. It’s like sitting in your driveway and looking at a map, looking at how to get from where you are to Cape Town. And you are looking at the map for 30 years, looking at the map about how to get to Cape Town, and the gas is just running in your vehicle, but you never get there.

You have all these expectations of what it looks like in Cape Town because you are looking at these glossy pictures of it. You are very enthusiastic tourist, but you never get there! That’s what a lot of people are like in their spiritual life. They are reading the Bible and looking at the glossy pictures about how beautiful heaven is, but they never get there, because Satan has immobilized them. they are always struggling with their first step.

Spiritual Growth

So as new born babes you have to grow. You have to grow . Underline the word “grow” because you have to be increasing in knowledge and in charity and in faith. you can’t stay at this stage right here and expect to have your names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. You can’t stay here. You have to progress, you have to mature. If so be that you have tasted that they Lord is gracious. There is a certain awakening in the soul.

As the seed smells the scent of moisture and responds to that, you also have to receive that scent of grace and respond to it every day. And you do this with the tokens of the covenant: the gifts, callings, graces of God; prayer, preaching, and prophecy, government, truth, and Spirit. These are the tokens that assist you in your progression of growth.

All these elements, the sunlight, the soil, and moisture, contribute to the growth of the plant, just as the government, truth, and Spirit contribute to your spiritual growth. The covenant is the environment that is favorable for your growth.

If you are in a unfavorable environment — the house of Baal, you will never grow beyond that stage, in fact you grow retrograde, which is called back sliding. You receive illumination and having never progressed you slide back, and say, “Well I’m a Christian, but I don’t know if I am a Christian or not. You carry your Bible but you read it very seldom, and your prayer life is so weak it is none existent. The only time you get into prayer is when you are at the super table, “Thank you Father for this food, Amen.” And you sit down and eat it. Right? That is how their prayer life goes. And they might include somebody else in that, we pray for sister so-and-so that they might be healed, but it never goes beyond that. This is the hour of temptation for the church because God is challenging this condition and setting a new path for your faith.

Often times people quote what the Bible says, but do not know how to set the knowledge in its proper covenant so they become confused about what God expects of faith. Knowing what the Second Covenant is, why God transferred the covenant from Moses to Jesus and what the spiritual tools are that God sprinkled with the blood of Jesus strengthens faith by setting it in its proper covenant.
Your conscience, stressed by the marriage between the moral code and the law, will continue to scream out against you for having tipped the scales on already dangerous imbalances.
Real Faith: Getting Rid of the Mask

by Maria vonAnderseck

I recently read an article about how important it is for us as Christians to get rid of the masks we hide behind—to forsake the illusion. The problem is that the panelists who were discussing this subject were still living the illusion while advising others to throw away their masks. In a moment we’ll talk about how I know this to be true and how you can be confident of removing your mask.

The Common Man’s Bread

You know, it is very easy to write a popular article about the things that are common to man because it is sure to resonate in everyone who reads the article the same sympathies. Everyone is quick to say, “Yes! Yes! That is me! How did you know?” It does not take a genius to tell you about you. All a person has to do is draw from personal experience on the human condition. That is the common man’s bread. What is common to man is those vulnerabilities that are shared by all. It is common to want to talk about and share these vulnerabilities, to investigate them, discover them, and get them out in the open. This creates an environment where it seems they are ridding themselves of the many masks and shields they use to hide behind, but they haven’t forsake the illusion, they are still in it.

Man’s Passion For Self Discovery

First of all, it is important to know why humans have this thing about personal discovery. Exploring, discovery, and revealing is a facet of the God-Code that is part of our nature because it is part of God’s nature. I’m not saying that God is lost and is searching for Himself, but that we can see in God’s creation His passion for uncovering the wonders and minute design of His work. It is also true that God placed the seed of His inheritance in the conscience as a kind of homing device to let man know that he has to make his journey back “home” to the bosom of the Father. Man makes this a journey of “self’, but it is not. That is the false journey. Grace is required to truly awaken the seed of God in the conscience for the true journey to begin. The seed of God’s inheritance in the conscience cannot be self activated.

It is the natural man that wants to take advantage of this facet of the God-Code to discover and uncover everything about his world. From inner space to outer space man has his microscopes and telescopes. There is a special kind of magnifying glass people use to hold up to see the “real me”. Every culture since the fall of Adam has been on this journey of personal discovery, so it is not new, neither is it Christian.

Part of discovering self is learning what face we give what to that which we discover. The purpose of the mask or shield is to protect ourselves and cover our nakedness. It is common for a person to want to present an image of themselves to others that is better than what they are. It is common to man to want to draw flattery and confirmation from those around us to affirm and confirm the image. These inclinations are the grounds Satan uses to contradict our faith and present the options for us to accept to put our trust in ourselves rather than God. However, simply knowing what we are vulnerable to making masks and shields is not helpful information to have unless we can direct people to the real solutions in Jesus Christ.

The current Christian culture misses this message by a long shot. In the article I read, the team discussing the subject of personal masks advises that we can throw them away because “none of us are perfect”, thus implying that the reason for masks is to present an image of perfection to other. The reason for the mask is true, that is why we construct them. So if that is true, what is the problem?

Giving Yourself Permission To Be Imperfect

The problem is that the gospel becomes a message about giving yourself permission to be imperfect. And while it is true (again) that God is not looking for perfection in the flesh, He is looking for our faith to be perfect in Jesus Christ. “Ohhhh. . .” I hear you say. You didn’t know that part. When that message is not understood or preached, the mind-set about ourselves not needing to be perfect IS the message. The problem is that this is NOT the message of Jesus Christ.

The gospel message of Jesus Christ is about Him not about us. It is about how your faith CAN and MUST be perfect in Him, and how that is made possible, and how easy it is for you to walk it.

Reading from 2 Chronicles 16:9, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro thoughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards Him.” This heart is not the heart of your emotions, nor is it the heart of your sincerity, it is the heart of faith. The heart of faith must be perfect before God. No, not your good intentions, the heart of faith. Faith must be perfect. God is looking for a perfect reflection of His Son in you.

The Perfect Image of Jesus Christ

This is the purpose of the tools of the covenant. You see a perfect image of Jesus Christ in His tools and God sees a perfect image of His Son in you when you use them. Real faith is faith that reflects Jesus Christ perfectly. You can see that there would be a problem when we can say all these things that are true about human nature, but never say what is true about Jesus Christ. You would be expecting the “real you” to emerge, and not realizing that “real faith” isn’t emerging.

The lie of Satan that is being exposed: The lie that the message is about us not being perfect, when in fact the message is about our faith being perfect in Jesus Christ and that there is nothing we need to add of ourselves to Christ. It is only then that God gives us to power to remove the thousands of shields and masks that we use to impersonate Life and accept the true Life Giver to represent us to God.

Covenant faith in Jesus Christ does this perfectly. There is nothing God needs from you to add to His perfect plan. Your faith is perfect when you accept Jesus as the record of your faith, and begin to co-labor with God so that Christ is daily formed in your inner man. That is good news. This doing of faith clothes you in His righteousness.

When you are convinced of the truth of God’s plan and this knowledge is set in order for your understanding, you will then see in Jesus the real measure of faith that is perfect and how simple God has provided for your faith to reach that mark every day.

With nothing of Him missing there is no longer a need for the shield. It is only when you are convinced that God does not need you to be perfect in your flesh, but perfect in your faith that you can let the lie die—the lie that your flesh needs to be perfect.

There is a tremendous pressing desire that we form a bond with God by the moral code, and life is used to test the moral code whether or not it is of gold or stubble. God breaks the marriage between the moral code and the law to release you from the penalty of sin (which the law confirmed in you). Online Christian Audio Sermons from living apostles today.

The often repentance that we see in the church is not a product of the Law of Grace and Truth, but a product of the Law of Moses. Your faith reflects the one you are joined to.
